Empty Bowls

Empty bowls events are sponsored by various county organizations who have joined together to work eliminating hunger and its root causes.

For a small fee, each Empty Bowls attendee can enjoy a taste of soup from local eateries, along with fresh-baked bread and desserts provided by local businesses and community partners. Attendees choose a handcrafted keepsake pottery bowl donated by area potters.

Clayworks Guild activity supports this event in Durham, Orange and Chatham counties.
